Congratulations to our 2012 Royalty
Sloane Roberts was crowned Miss Heart of the Ozarks 2012, during the scholarship pageant at Arend Arts Center in Bentonville, Arkansas on February 19. Robert’s triumphant walk across the stage was the beginning of a journey that will take her through a year of service as Miss Heart of the Ozarks 2012. She will be promoting her platform- Love Always Hopes: The Morgan Nick Foundation and the Children’s Miracle Network. Abby Hile of Rogers placed first runner-up, Kacey Keefe of Bentonville placed second runner-up, Rebecca Wheeley of Rogers placed third runner-up and Hannah Gibson of Bentonville placed fourth runner-up .
Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children's hospitals, is the national platform partner of the Miss America Organization. Miss Heart of the Ozarks is an official preliminary of Miss Arkansas which is a part of the America Organization.
Roberts, 19, is a sophomore at the University of Arkansas majoring in Communications. As Miss Heart of the Ozarks, she will receive a $1,500 scholarship and over $10,000.00 in awards and prizes. She competed against 9 other young women from Northwest Arkansas for the title. She also received the overall Talent Award and the Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit Award. She will compete for the title of Miss Arkansas this summer in Hot Springs.
Elle Johnson won the title of Miss Heart of the Ozarks Outstanding Teen 2012. Johnson, 16, is a student at Fayetteville High School. She will be promoting her platform- A Voice for Silent Angels. She will compete for the title of Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen in June. Johnson also won the overall Talent Award. Megan McAfee of Gravette placed first runner-up, Madison Ozwalt of Harrison placed second runner-up, Lauren Archibald of Fayetteville placed third runner up and Jordan Canter of Rogers placed fourth runner-up.
Caroline Long of Fayetteville was crowned Princess Heart of the Ozarks.
As the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women and one of the nation's leading achievement programs, the Miss America Organization last year made available more than $45 million in cash and scholarship assistance. The Miss America Organization provides young women with a vehicle to further their personal and professional goals and instills a spirit of community service through a variety of nationwide community-based programs.
